L’ONDINE
-
STEILSTEVEN -
21.5m x 4.05m - £110,000 (€122,870)
Really a one off and
oozing character. She will appeal to anyone who is looking for a unique
barge converted using natural woods which have been re-claimed or re-cycled.
Very rustic in appearance inside and very well maintained by her present
very enthusiastic owner. This is good looking barge with very attractive
lines, offers a lot of space and can easily cruise back to France should the
new owners wish. Currently on a fully residential berth in one of the UK’s
oldest sea ports, we understand that this mooring is probably transferrable
to the new owner subject to approval. DAF 125 hp eng. New genset onboard but
not installed, re-wired 2005, Mikuni CH boiler 2005. 2 cabins, gorgeous
French style bathroom, large saloon, massive wheelhouse /galley. Its very
rare that a package like this becomes available on the market whereby you
have the opportunity to purchase a really unique and individual barge which
also has the benefit of a beautiful residential mooring.

“LA LAVANDE” - STEILSTEVEN -
23.00m x 4.20m x 0.90m -
$525,000
(£ 362,250)
Designed and built by an American couple with long
experience on the canals it is the compilation of what they learned a
barge should incorporate. Built new from the hull up in 2004 she offers
maximum interior volume, excellent maneuverability, ease of mooring,
perfect exterior dimensions (23m x 4.2m x 0.95), and an easily demounted
wheelhouse for clearing those low bridges. The shallow draft and low air
clearance (3.4m with the wheelhouse up and 2.4m with the wheelhouse
down) make it possible to cruise virtually all the canals of France and
Europe. (A note on the dimensions: Under 24m length enables captaining
with a normal French PP license and 4.2 width makes for easy entrance to
the 5 meter wide Freycinet locks). Making life a domestic pleasure
LaLavande has center-line Queen size beds in the three en-suite cabins,
air conditioning and a full size American-style kitchen. Gracious
entertaining can be around the large teak table in the salon or on the
large (7m x 4m) astro-turfed terrace.
